A statement by the national police (DGSN) stressed that the truck was subjected to a thorough search operation with the help of sniffer dogs, which led to the discovery of 513 kg of chira concealed in cavities inside the trailer.

The truck driver, 47, was arrested and a preliminary investigation was initiated under the supervision of the public prosecutor's office, with a view to elucidating the ins and outs of this case, identifying all the accomplices and determining the ramifications of these criminal acts in Morocco and at the regional and international levels, the same source added.
