The total number of COVID-19 cases in the country rises to 115,241 since the recording of the first case on March 2, while the number of cured people increases to 94,150, the ministry added in its daily update, stressing that the recovery rate has reached 81.7%.
A total of 43 coronavirus-related deaths were registered during the same period, taking the death toll to 2,041, the source pointed out, adding that the fatality rate stands at 1.8%.
These deaths are distributed between the regions of Casablanca-Settat (18), Marrakech-Safi (5), the eastern region (5), Fez-Meknès (4), Souss-Massa (4), Drâa-Tafilalet (3), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (2) and Béni Mellal-Khénifra (2).
The new cases are distributed between the regions of Casablanca-Settat (1,397), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (315), Marrakech-Safi (283), Drâa-Tafilalet (143), the eastern region (134), Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (109), Souss-Massa (106), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (95), Fez-Meknès (64), Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (43), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (21) and Guelmim-Oued Noun (9).
The number of excluded cases stands at 2,414,156, after 21,527 new negative analyzes.
The active cases reached the number of 19,050 with a prevalence of 52.5/100,000 inhabitants. Regarding severe or critical cases, there are 374, including 40 intubated people.
The cumulative incidence rate is 317.3/100,000 inhabitants, against an incidence of 24 hours established at 7.5/100,000 inhabitants.
