The new toll of confirmed cases brings to 117,685 the number of contaminations in the Kingdom since the first case reported on March 2 and to 95,591 that of fully recovered people, i.e. a recovery rate of 81.2%, said the ministry in its daily Covid-19 report.
The number of deaths rose to 2,069, with 28 new cases recorded in the past 24 hours, a case fatality rate of 1.8%, according to the same source.
These deaths are distributed between the regions of Casablanca-Settat (6), Marrakech-Safi (6), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (5), the eastern region (3), Drâa-Tafilalet (3), Souss-Massa (2), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (2) and Fez-Meknes (1).
The new cases are identified in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (969), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (348), Souss-Massa (333), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (226), Marrekch-Safi (187), Darâa-Tafilalet (143), Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (84), Fez-Meknès (66), Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (38), the eastern region (34), Guelmim-Oued Noun (9) and Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (7).
The number of excluded cases stands at 2,435,665, after 21,509 new negative analyzes.
The active cases reached the number of 20,025 with a prevalence of around 55/100,000 inhabitants. Regarding severe or critical cases, there are 369, including 38 intubated patients.
The cumulative incidence rate is 324/100,000 inhabitants, against an incidence of 24 hours established at 6.7/100,000 inhabitants.
