The total number of COVID-19 cases in the country rises to 119,107 while the number of cured people increases to 97,468, the ministry added in its daily update, stressing that the recovery rate has reached 81.8%.
A total of 44 coronavirus-related deaths were registered during the same period, taking the death toll to 2,113, the source pointed out, adding that the fatality rate stands at 1.8%.
These deaths are distributed between the regions of Casablanca-Settat (19), Marrakech-Safi (5), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (4), Drâa-Tafilalet (4), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (4), Fez-Meknès (3), the eastern region (3) and Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (2).
The new cases are spread between the regions of Casablanca-Settat (542), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (247), Marrakech-Safi (157), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (133), Darâa-Tafilalet (132), Fez-Meknes (66), the eastern (62), Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (39), Souss-Massa (37) and Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (7).
The number of excluded cases stands at 2,456,550, after 20,885 new negative tests.
The active cases reached the number of 19,526 with a prevalence of 54/100,000 inhabitants. Regarding severe or critical cases, there are 415, including 39 intubated people.
The cumulative incidence rate is 328/100,000 inhabitants, against an incidence of 24 hours established at 4/100,000 inhabitants.
