The total number of COVID-19 cases in the country rises to 121,183 while the number of cured people increases to 100,253, the ministry added in its daily update, stressing that the recovery rate has reached 82.7%.
A total of 39 coronavirus-related deaths were registered during the same period, taking the death toll to 2,152, the source pointed out, adding that the fatality rate stands at 1.8%.
These deaths are distributed between the regions of Casablanca-Settat (10), Marrakech-Safi (7), Fez-Meknès (5), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (5), the eastern region (4), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (3), Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (2), Souss-Massa (2) and Guelmim-Oued Noun (1).
The new cases are distributed between the regions of Casablanca-Settat (1,024), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (202), the eastern region (196), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (142), Souss-Massa (135), Marrakech-Safi (134), Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (70), Darâa-Tafilalet (60), Fez-Meknès (57), Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (27), Guelmim-Oued Noun (23) and Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (6).
The number of excluded cases stands at 2,477,303, after 20,753 new negative tests.
The active cases reached the number of 18,778, with a prevalence of 51.7/100,000 inhabitants. Regarding severe or critical cases, there are 440, of which 49 intubated people.
The cumulative incidence rate is 334/100,000 inhabitants, against an incidence of 24 hours established at 5.7/100,000 inhabitants.
