On the basis of the daily monitoring of the epidemiological situation at the provincial level and the recommendations of the meeting of the provincial vigilance committee held on Monday, it was decided to extend, for a renewable week (until October 13 at 6 p.m.), the implementation of the exceptional anti-Covid measures put in place since last September 22nd.
In a statement, the provincial authorities explain that these measures concern the imposition of an exceptional permit to move to and from the cities of Jerada and Aïn Beni Mathar, issued by the competent authorities, the prohibition of gatherings in public spaces, as well as festivals, wedding ceremonies, funerals and family reunions.
The measures also involve the closure of play areas, sports halls, community grounds and public parks, in addition to the closure of shops, cafés and restaurants at 10 p.m. and the reduction of the capacity of public transportation (cabs and buses) to 50 pc.
