This brings to 142,953 the total number of contaminations in the kingdom since the first case was reported on March 2, and to 120,27 the number of people fully recovered, i.e. a recovery rate of 84.1%, said the ministry in its daily report on Covid-19.
The number of deaths rises to 2,486 with 47 new fatalities recorded in 24 hours, i.e. a case-fatality rate of 1.74%.
These deaths are distributed between the regions of Casablanca-Settat (16), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (8), the eastern region (5), Marrakech-Safi (4), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (4), Darâa-Tafilalet (4), Fez-Meknes (2), Guelmim-Oued Noun (2), Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (1) and Souss-Massa (1).
The new cases of contamination were detected in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (1.522), Rabat-Sale-Kénitra (366), Marrakech-Safi (219), Souss-Massa (207), Darâa-Tafilalet (131), Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (122), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (118), the eastern region (114), Guelmim-Oued Noun (22), Fez-Meknès (76), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (17) and Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (15).
The number of excluded cases stands at 2,660,538, after 22,197 new negative tests.
Active cases reached a total of 20,192, with a prevalence of 55.6/100,000 inhabitants, while severe or critical cases stood at 440, of which 37 were intubated.
The cumulative incidence rate is 393.7/100,000 inhabitants, against an incidence of 24 hours established at 8.1/100,000 inhabitants.
