"Road users traveling from one city to another via Casablanca, must use the outer bypass highway if they do not have an exceptional travel authorization allowing them to access to the city," according to a statement of the Wilaya.

This decision is part of the preventive measures that have been taken to stem the spread of the coronavirus epidemic and to implement the regulatory provisions providing for restriction of access to the city and the requirement to submit travel to and from Casablanca to an exceptional travel authorization issued by the competent local authorities, it added.

Failure to comply with this decision is punishable by the sanctions provided for in the decree on the state of health emergency, the Wilaya said, calling on citizens to interact positively and engage responsibly in efforts to fight against the spread of the epidemic.
