The inspection operation of the vehicle which was supposed to carry a cargo of agricultural products to Spain made it possible to seize the drugs, which were concealed inside the trailer of the truck, and to arrest the driver, says a statement by the national police (DGSN).

The seized drugs were handed to the customs administration and the arrested suspect has been held in police custody to complete the preliminary investigation conducted by the judicial police under the supervision of the competent prosecutor's office to establish the national and international ramifications of the criminal network, according to the same source.

This operation is part of the intense and ongoing efforts of the various security services to fight international trafficking in drugs and psychotropic pills, the statement concluded.
