Morocco's News Agency (MAP) reporters met on Monday morning the team, who was reporting from inside the buffer zone freely and without any constraint or supervision by Moroccan authorities. 

Besides TVE, other international media outlets, including Al Jazeera, are currently in El Guerguarat to cover the unfolding of events after the resolute operation of the FAR against the "polisario" militiamen who infiltrated, on October 21, this no man's land and carried out genuine acts of banditry.

The presence of foreign media contradicts the allegations of the AFP and especially those of the correspondent of the Spanish news agency EFE in Rabat, who claimed he was "prevented" from covering these events.

In reality, elements of the Moroccan security services on duty at the El Guerguarat Border Crossing asked the reporter to wait a few minutes before being allowed to move inside the buffer zone, so as to make the necessary checks, which is a common practice in all democracies around the world, including Spain!

The MAP, the Moroccan audio-visual and electronic press sent special envoys to El Guerguarat to cover the reopening of the crossing  between Morocco and Mauritania, which remained closed for three weeks.
