During this meeting, the two parties discussed means to promote the sharing of experiences and expertise, particularly in the areas of fisheries, tourism, infrastructure and renewable energy.
"During this meeting with the CGEM, we explored the various investment opportunities offered to Moroccan operators in Sao Tome and Principe," Tenjua told MAP.
The meeting was also an opportunity to identify the main areas of cooperation, mainly agriculture, fisheries, renewable energy and tourism, she stated.
"Our main objective is to benefit from Morocco's know-how and extensive experience in these sectors, and we expect to receive soon a Moroccan delegation in our country," Sao Tome and Principe's top diplomat said at the end of the meeting.
For his part, Diop said that the purpose of this meeting was to explore ways and means to strengthen cooperation between the Moroccan private sector and the Republic of Sao Tome and Principe and to discuss the various possible paths of cooperation especially in the sectors of agriculture, renewable energy, sea fishing and tourism.
"We have put in place an action plan to enable the scheduling of a visit of private actors to the Republic of Sao Tome and Principe, to further strengthen economic cooperation between our two countries," he added.
Morocco and the Republic of Sao Tome and Principe signed three cooperation agreements in the areas of maritime fisheries, investments and non-double taxation.
