4.1-magnitude Quake Shakes Driouch Province

Rabat - An earthquake with a 4.1-magnitude on the Richter scale was recorded on Thursday in the province of Driouch, said the National Institute of Geophysics (ING).

The earthquake, whose epicenter is located off Oulad Amghar in the province of Driouch, occurred at 18h 51min 42sec (GMT +1), said the ING National Seismic Monitoring and Alarm Network in a seismic alarm bulletin.

The tremor is 13 km deep, with a latitude of 35,569 °N and a longitude of 3,580 °W, the same source added.
