This edition, marked by a 100% virtual organization after the cancellation of the 2019 edition due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will focus on contact between writers and readers as well as on the sale of books in order to help this sector which has been affected by the pandemic, the organizers said.
"With just one click, from all over the country, you can access the fair for free to see the entire catalog of available books, buy and participate in the program of activities which is organized for children, young people and adults", noted the organizers in a statement.
This edition will be marked in particular by the organization of several conferences, book presentations, tributes, debates, poetry recitals and music concerts.
During this edition, the virtual Moroccan pavilion will be promoted by the Mohammed VI Cultural Center for Dialogue of Civilizations of Coquimbo and the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Chile.
In addition to presenting the various publications of the Mohammed VI Cultural Center for the Dialogue of Civilizations through the virtual portal dedicated to this edition, Morocco is organizing two cultural conferences on "gender and equal opportunities: perspectives and reality" and "diversity and cultural wealth in Morocco".
Two Moroccan movies will be screened during this Book Fair, namely "Aida" and "The Blind Orchestra".
