The total number of COVID-19 cases in the country rises to 442,141, while the number of cured people increases to 412,168, the ministry pointed out in its daily update, adding that the recovery rate has reached 93.2%.

A total of 27 coronavirus-related deaths were registered in the past day, taking the death toll to 7,452, the source pointed out, adding that the fatality rate stands at 1.7%.

These fatalities were reported in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (8), Rabat-Sale-Kenitra (5), Marrakech-Safi (3), Souss-Massa (3), Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (2), Beni-Mellal-Khenifra (2), Guelmim-Oued Noun (1), Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra (1), the Oriental (1), and Draa-Tafilalet (1).

The new Covid-19 cases were recorded in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (381), Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (215), Rabat-Sale-Kenitra (145), Souss-Massa (120), Marrakech-Safi (79), the Oriental (63), Beni Mellal-Khenifra (54), Fez-Meknes (43), Guelmim-Oued Noun (37), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (18), Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra (10) and Draa-Tafilalet (6).

The total number of excluded cases following negative tests rises to 4,044,843 since the start of the outbreak, including 12,109 in the past day.

The number of active cases has reached 22,521, including 1,104 patients in a critical or severe condition, the ministry added.
