Funded by the Office of Near East Affairs (NEA) at the United States Department of State, in partnership with the United States Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI), this platform aims to promote the economic assets of Dakhla and Laayoune, with the aim of exploring opportunities for exchange and economic collaboration nationally and internationally in several key sectors, such as agriculture, renewable energies, tourism, logistics and fisheries.
The platform, the first economic project funded by the US in Morocco's southern provinces, will bring together the database of companies in the region with a complete data sheet, through an innovative search engine allowing the search and location on the map of any socio-economic entity in the city.
"Dakhlaconnect.com” is divided into three main phases, namely the development of a digital platform for the marketing and promotion of investment opportunities, as well as the organization of B2B events, with the involvement of local stakeholders.
This platform, which will ultimately become a must for any investor wishing to invest in the region, will be subject to periodic updating of sectoral or macroeconomic data.
This meeting was attended in particular by the wali of the region of Dakhla-Oued Eddahab, governor of the province of Oued Eddahab, Lamine Benomar, the governor of the province of Aousserd, Abderrahaman El Jaouhari, and the president of the Council of the region, El Khattat Yanja, as well as heads of external services and elected officials.
