The suspects were arrested at the Agadir fishing port in flagrante delicto of trying to transport 20 candidates for illegal migration on board a fishing vessel, said the National Police (DGSN) in a press release.

The investigation revealed that the candidates arrested were of different nationalities, including Moroccans and 09 people of Egyptian and Yemeni nationalities, it added.

The search operations resulted in the seizure of 6 life jackets, cell phones, as well as sums of money in national and foreign currency.

The suspects were subjected to a judicial investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office to determine the ins and outs of this case and identify the ramifications of this criminal network, concluded the DGSN.
