Fez: Overnight Stays Down 77%

Fez - Total overnight stays in tourist accommodation establishments in the city of Fez fell by 77% by the end of November 2020 compared to the same period the year before, according to the National Tourism Observatory.

The number of overnight stays amounted to 234,510 in the first eleven months of 2020 against 543,137 the year before, the source added.

Arrivals at classified hotels reached 119,545 in the same period, against 543,137 in the year before, down by 78%.

The average length of stay was two overnights during the abovementioned period.

According to the same source, this performance is the result of the decreasing number of tourists visiting the city, particularly from France, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, Arab and Scandinavian countries.
