In a statement to press on the sidelines of a visit to several vaccination centers in the Marrakech-Safi region as part of the national vaccination campaign against Covid-19, the minister also expressed his satisfaction with the good organization of this large-scale operation, which is taking place under excellent conditions, thanks to close coordination between all stakeholders, including the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Interior.
"Citizens continue to flow to the Covid-19 vaccination centers," he noted, saying that the vaccination operation is taking place in conditions marked by fluidity in the said centers thanks to a strict organization and to the mobilization of all stakeholders.
The minister stressed that this inflow has enabled Morocco to reach more than 200,000 people vaccinated so far, "a very honorable and very satisfactory number" which is expected to increase over the coming days.
Ait Taleb also called for respecting barrier gestures, which will allow this vaccination campaign to achieve all its objectives, emphasizing the importance of the second dose of the vaccine within the framework of the immunization of citizens.
In addition, the minister emphasized the close link between the epidemiological situation and the anti-Covid-19 vaccination operation, because as long as this situation is clearly improving, the vaccination campaign will make it possible to achieve efficiency from the point of view of collective immunization to overcome this health crisis.
Ait Taleb's visits concerned the level 2 rural health center in Skhour Rhamna, the Benguerir multi-sports complex (Rehamna province), the "Al Massira" urban health center (Marrakech prefecture) and the center of urban health of Tahanaout (Al Haouz province).
During these visits, the minister, who was accompanied in particular by the regional director of health in Marrakech-Safi Lamia Chakiri, and the provincial delegates of health of Rehamna, Marrakech and Al Haouz, inquired about the running of the vaccination campaign against Covid-19 in the Marrakech-Safi region.
The vaccination campaign is a real response to end the acute phase of the pandemic.
This national operation, of unprecedented scale, aims to provide the population with a vaccine as an appropriate means of immunization against the virus and of controlling its spread.
In accordance with the High Royal Instructions, the vaccination campaign will be free of charge for all citizens, the objective being to immunize all components of the Moroccan people (30 million to vaccinate about 80% of the population), then reduce and eliminate cases of contamination and death due to the epidemic and contain the spread of the virus, with a view to a gradual return to normal life.
