Guercif: Policemen Foil 2nd Drug Trafficking Operation, Seize 475 kg of Cannabis Resin

Rabat - Elements of the Judicial Police of Fez on Tuesday foiled, on the basis of precise information provided by the services of the General Directorate of Surveillance of the Territory, a second drug trafficking operation and seized 475 kg of cannabis resin near Guercif.

This operation took place following investigations opened after security services thwarted, earlier in the day, a first attempt to smuggle 850 kg of cannabis resin at the national road connecting Outat El Haj and Boulemane, National Police (DGSN) said in a statement.

The total quantity of the drug seized amounts to 1,325 kg, DGSN points out, adding that investigations are underway under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office to identify all the people involved in these criminal acts.
