Fez: Overnight Stays Down 77% in 2020

Fez - Total overnight stays in tourist accommodation establishments in the city of Fez fell by 77% in 2020 compared to the year before, according to the National Tourism Observatory.

The number of overnight stays amounted to 253,856 in 2020 against 1,117,579 the year before, the source added.

Arrivals at classified hotels reached 129,092 in the same period against 592,765 in the year before, down by 78%.

The average length of stay was two overnights in 2020, i.e. the same period as in the year before.

According to the same source, this performance is the result of the decreasing number of tourists visiting the city, particularly from France, USA, Germany, China, Spain, UK, Italy, Japan and Arab countries.
