The number of people who benefited from the second dose of the vaccine reached 13,476, said the ministry in its daily report on the situation of Covid-19, indicating that the new figure brings to 480,948 the total number of contaminations since the first case reported last March.

The number of people recovered rose to 464,043, that is a recovery rate of 96.5%, while the total number of deaths reached 8,548, with 8 new cases recorded in 24 hours, or a case fatality rate of 1,8%.

The cases of death were recorded in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (2), the eastern region (3), Marrakech-Safi (1), Souss-Massa (1) and Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (1).

New cases of infection were identified in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (259), Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (48), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (40), the eastern region (32), Marrakech-Safi (10), Souss-Massa (22), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (9), Fez-Meknès (2), Dakhla Oued-Eddahab (12), Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (4), Guelmim-Oued Noun (5) and Darâa-Tafilalet (1).

The number of active cases rose to 8,357 while the severe or critical cases are 422, of which 33 are placed under intubation.
