Speaking on the occasion of the signing of an agreement sealing an unprecedented partnership between the Region of Beni Mellal-Khenifra, the Regional Academy of Education and Training, the Essaouira-Mogador Association and the Research Center on Hebrew Law in Morocco, the Advisor to HM the King and Founding President of the Essaouira-Mogador Association highlighted "the pioneering and exemplary nature of this agreement which brings together for the same objective the elected officials, the Ministry of National Education and civil society".
"This is a real turning point that gives substance and reality to the historical Momentum that Morocco is living through, which has chosen to recognize, teach and promote the depth and legitimacy of our added histories and our mixed memories," added Azoulay, underscoring the exceptional national, regional and international impact of the historic and emblematic presence of HM the King in Bayt Dakira on the day of its inauguration, January 15, 2020 in Essaouira.
"It is in the same perspective and the same dynamic embodied and carried by HM the King that we must contextualize the pioneering and visionary initiative of our Sovereign with the establishment of school curricula that teach the history of Moroccan Judaism, which now has its place in our education system," said Andre Azoulay, recalling that since the beginning of February, more than a hundred Dialogue and Coexistence Clubs have been created in Essaouira.
In addition, a Partnership Agreement for the development of the educational, cultural and civic capacities and roles of Moroccan schools was signed between the Essaouira-Mogador Association, the Regional Academy of Education and Training (AREF) of Beni Mellal-Khenifra, and the Center for Studies and Research on Hebrew Law in Morocco.
Signed by the Advisor to HM the King and Founding President of the Essaouira-Mogador Association, Andre Azoulay, Director of the AREF of Beni Mellal-Khenifra, Moustafa Slifani and Founding President of the Center for Studies and Research on Hebrew Law, Abdellah Ouzitane, this agreement aims to establish a general framework of cooperation and partnership between the three parties in order to strengthen and develop educational capacities and roles, cultural and civic education in Moroccan schools, promote the culture of citizenship and civics in schools in addition to promoting the culture of tolerance and living together through the establishment of clubs for dialogue and coexistence in educational institutions.
