The opening ceremony of this event, held online due to the global health crisis linked to the Covid-19 pandemic, was marked by the presentation of the competing short films and the members of the jury chaired by French director and actress Laurine Bauby.

The other members of the jury are actress and director Latefa Ahrar and Tunisian film researcher and academic Wassim Korbi.

The Oued Noun Film Festival features three Prizes, namely the International Oued Noun Prize for Best Short Film (6 films), the International Oued Noun Prize for Documentary Short Films (5 films) and the National Oued Noun Prize for Short Film (9 films).

On this occasion, a tribute was paid to Moroccan director and screenwriter Hakim Kbabi, for his distinguished contributions to the movie industry.
