This agreement aims, over a period of three years, to improve maternal and neonatal services for women living in rural and semi-urban areas and thus reducing maternal and infant mortality.
Speaking on this occasion, UNFM Secretary General, Farida El Khamlichi, said that under High Instructions of HRH Princess Lalla Meryem, President of the UNFM, the Union proceeded to the signing of this agreement marking the celebration of the International Women's Day and pursuing efforts for the development of women's rights over the past 50 years.
The agreement provides for using artificial intelligence to benefit women's rights by developing and enhancing the conversational software robot (ChatBot) "Najatbot", El Khamlichi added.
UNFPA Resident Representative in Morocco, Luis Mora, stressed the importance of the agreement which aims to promote women's rights and especially the right to maternal and infant health services.
This agreement will ensure the integration of artificial intelligence, in favor of gender equality and women's rights. It will be implemented through a predefined action plan, she said.
