Women of different backgrounds, notably diplomats, university professors, senior executives, lawyers, local elected officials, artists, students and others were honored in collaboration with the Magazine "Diplomatic Spectrum", Moroccan Embassy in Bulgaria said in a statement.

All dressed in splendid Moroccan caftans, these women delivered messages published by the Bulgarian Magazine on the International Women's Day, celebrated to pay tribute to women worldwide, under the motto "Happy March 8 to all women of the world!."

''I am convinced that women hold the key to improving their own fate, the fate of their families and of the entire community,'' Morocco's Ambassador to Bulgaria, Zakia El Midaoui said.

Participants at the event highlighted the role played in society by women who are at the forefront of the fight against coronavirus. They also hailed different progress and achievements made by women around the world in shaping a better future for all.

March 8 is an opportunity to celebrate the great achievements of women while calling on them not to abandon their dreams, to fulfill their ambitions and to continue to work tirelessly for a better world, they said.
