The 54-year-old suspect was arrested in coordination with the Royal Gendarmerie in the rural area "Sebt Zinat", at the secondary road linking Larache and Tangier, following his arrival aboard a utility vehicle, National Police (DGSN) said in a statement, adding that the search of the vehicle led to the seizure of 2,286 kg of the banned substance.

The suspect was placed on custody, while investigations are underway under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office to determine the ramifications of this network and arrest all the people involved in these criminal acts.
