This framework agreement, presented by the Minister Delegate on behalf of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad, aims mainly to contribute to the social and economic development of the two countries, and in particular to the development of energy and mining sectors, government spokesperson Saaid Amzazi said in a statement read out during a press briefing after the meeting.
Under this agreement, the two parties commit to cooperate in areas related to the energy sector, such as electricity, renewable energy, energy efficiency and hydrocarbons, as well as in the mining sector, where the two countries will share information, knowledge, experience and skills, Amzazi said.
The text also provides that the two parties develop relations between their respective actors in the aforementioned fields, and organize training and workshops for the benefit of employees in these fields.
