3.5-Magnitude Quake Shakes Sidi Kacem Province

Rabat - An earthquake with a 3.5-magnitude on the Richter scale was recorded on Monday in the province of Sidi Kacem, said the National Institute of Geophysics (ING).

The earthquake, whose epicenter is located in the commune of Ain Dfali (Sidi Kacem province), occurred at 13h 11min 14sec (GMT+1), said the ING National Seismic Monitoring and Alarm Network in a seismic alarm bulletin.

The tremor is 7 km deep, with a latitude of 34.559 °N and a longitude of 5.613°W, the source added.
