The film "Amghar" (2020) deals, in about 61 minutes, with an aspect of Moroccan cultural heritage embodied by the character of "Amghar" (or the wise man) who plays different roles to solve the multiple problems and conflicts between the inhabitants, especially at the economic and social levels, said El Messaoudi in a statement to MAP.
The documentary also depicts the daily life of different categories of people, and the philosophy of coexistence between them by appealing to the wisdom of "Amghar", the honest, just and altruistic man, added the director.
This documentary was chosen to compete for awards in this film genre, along with seven other films at the 10th edition of the African Film Festival in Luxor, Egypt, he noted.
Produced by the company "Creativity for Audiovisual Production", the film is the work of a team composed of Rachid Al Hajoui (idea and decor), Tahar Abdellaoui and Issam Chahbouni (photography) and Bouchaib El Messaoudi (direction).
