This campaign, initiated with the support of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), is part of the celebration of World TB Day, the DGAPR said in a statement.
Clinical examinations will be carried out for all the inmates in the two prisons, i.e. 5,358 prisoners, including 178 women and 482 minors, according to the same source.
This campaign is part of the launch of mobile testing operations for the year 2021 in all prisons, the statement added, stressing that the DGAPR has mobilized all its medical staff to achieve this operation.
All these operations will be conducted in strict compliance with preventive measures against Covid-19, in force in prisons, the DGAPR concluded.
