In a statement to MAP, Secretary-General of Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) Abdellatif Ouahbi, who is visiting Tunisia, said that the meeting with Ghannouchi focused on the Arab Maghreb Union revival.

President of the ARP affirmed his "commitment to reinforcing Moroccan-Tunisian relations and developing the AMU, calling for a stronger union, Ouahbi added.

During the meeting, the two officials highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation between the two legislative institutions and the exchange of experiences in areas including democratic transition and transitional justice.

They also welcomed the "longstanding strategic relationship between Morocco and Tunisia", calling for overcoming differences that impact the future of the AMU.
