The new text is part of Morocco's efforts to strengthen the national judicial system in the fight against this practice and the financing of terrorism.

The future law also seeks to adapt national legislation to the international standards adopted in this area by the Financial Action Task Force, in addition to remedying the shortcomings contained in the current texts, in particular those noted in the mutual evaluation report.
