Casablanca: Woman Arrested for Drug Trafficking and Possession (DGSN)

Rabat - The judicial police services in Casablanca arrested, on Monday, on the basis of accurate information provided by the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), a woman aged 66 for her alleged involvement in a drug and psychotropic pills trafficking and possession case.

The suspect, with multiple criminal records, was apprehended at the Casablanca train station, said a press release from the National Police (DGSN).

The arrest took place following the search operation of the accused which helped seize 6,000 psychotropic pills of the "Rivotril" type in addition to three cell phones and a sum of money suspected of resulting from this criminal activity.

The suspect was remanded in police custody for the investigation carried out under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office in order to determine the other potential ramifications of this activity, as well as all the criminal charges brought against her, the press release concluded.
