The suspects were busted at the highway connecting Tangier to Kenitra, just after their arrival from a city in the north of the Kingdom, National Police (DGSN) said in a statement, adding that they had in their possession 1,435 psychotropic pills.

One of the suspects is the subject of an arrest warrant issued by Kenitra judicial police services for his alleged involvement in drug trafficking, the source pointed out.

The suspects were placed on custody, while investigations are underway under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office.
